Pro’s

    • An amazing and fairly flat ride along a ridge for the last couple of miles to the end of the road.
    • Great views in all directions and when you get to the top you can look down way below and see just about all of Malibu Creek State Park.
    • Solstice Park, located near the foot of the climb is a pretty and easy place to get water and take a bathroom break.
    • There is a wicked steep climb for the first couple of miles that never seems to let up. Wait! Shouldn’t this be a con? Ha! You must have forgotten who is writing this.
    • The road is full of really fun curves for the last couple of miles. This section of road really makes the initial hard section worthwhile.
    • You can piss of your partner when they find out the road is a dead end.

Con’s

    • You have to ride on a nasty bit of PCH to get to it. There is a lot going on during the summer in this area.
    • Lower down there are quite a few houses along the road and the traffic is higher then you would expect for such a small road.
    • The 2008 fire hit this area hard. By 2010 it should be back to normal though so this will not be a con for long.

There is a ton of mountain biking at the top of Corral. From the rocks known as Little Moab, to the Backbone Trail, to Bulldog, your options on a MTB are fantastic.
